PLAYDEAD North American Tour
w/ Within Destruction, Crystal Lake, Fame on Fire, SiM
This is SiM's first North American Tour as a headliner and the band's second time in Philadelphia.
Within Destruction was the first band to perform. Within Destruction is a Slovenian deathcore band known for their aggressive style and heavy, intricate instrumentation. Formed in 2010, the band quickly gained recognition in the extreme metal scene with their intense live performances and technical prowess.This three piece band performed songs from an array of albums such as "Lotus," "Yōkai," and "Deathwish.” Songs that they performed off those albums were "Nightmare," "Hate Me," and "Deathwish.”
Crystal Lake took the stage next. Crystal Lake's set included songs such as Prometheus, SIX FEET UNDER, Machina, Bloodgood, Lost In Forever, Watch Me Burn, and Apollo from various albums, highlighting their blend of hardcore and metalcore influences. Theband, originally from Tokyo and formed in 2002, has gained international recognition for their energetic performances and distinctive sound.
Fame on Fire came on next and is the only non-international band on the lineup. Fame on Fire is a rock band known for their energetic covers of popular songs, often infusing them with elements of metal and punk. They gained popularity through their YouTube channel where they posted their covers, which have garnered millions of views. While they initially gained attention for their covers, they have also released original music, blending various rock subgenres with electronic elements. Overall, they're recognized for their dynamic performances and unique take on contemporary hits. They performed numerous songs including Headspace, Nightmare, Welcome To The Chaos, Ketamine, Cut Throat, Plastic Heart, and Chains (Not yet released). They also performed a cover of Kryptonite, a 3 Doors Down song.
SiM (Silence iz Mine) then took the stage. SiM is a Japanese alternative rock band known for their unique blend of punk, rock, reggae, and hip-hop elements. Formed in 2004, SiM has gained a dedicated following both domestically in Japan and internationally. They played numerous songs from their latest album, PLAYDEAD as well as a couple others for other albums. To date, they're most notable song is The Rumbling. The song was featured as the opening theme song for the anime Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2.
